It is one of the most common questions we get before a booking: how long does it take to get from Avicasa into the heart of District 1? The answer depends on how you travel — and since late 2024, there has been a new option that is considerably faster than anything before it.
By car or ride-hailing
It is roughly 20 km to the Ben Thanh area. Actual travel time varies widely: as little as 30 minutes when the roads are clear, but 45-60 minutes or more at peak hours depending on your route (via the Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Mai Chi Tho Boulevard or the Thu Thiem Tunnel). A one-way ride-hailing fare usually falls between 150.000-200.000đ.
Metro Line 1 — the new option since late 2024
Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) entered service on 22 December 2024, running almost 20 km across 14 stations. The closest stops to the Grand Park area are the terminus near the new Mien Dong Bus Station and the National University station. Vinhomes runs a free VinBus electric shuttle out to the station (about 10-15 minutes), and the metro ride into the centre adds another 15-30 minutes — a total that often beats driving at rush hour.
